Morong 43 and accusations

Morong 43 at which they are usually called.

Those 43 people so called "health workers" that were captured last February 16, 2010, were actually health workers-but were the medical officers of the New People's Army(NPA).

They were intellectual in terms of first aid and anything that concerns their health security. They studied medicine because they know that their people may not be admitted to the hospital unless they want to be caught by the soldiers or policemen.

But one issue arise from here.

And it is the rumored accusation of the victims that they are being maltreated by the soldiers.
Mostly of them are women, and they were accusing the soldiers that they sexually abused Jane Balleta while the others were being tortured.

Maj. Gen. Jorge Segovia, commander of the Army's 2nd Infantry Division, alleged that they were doing their best in doing their job. As of him,"We know we are right; we know we did not commit those allegations. As what others say, we made a great service to the nation.”

His firm answers to the allegations were being questioned, still .

For now, we have to wait for the real answers in their dilemma. We as Filipino must be aware with what's happening around us. Especially now, that the NPAs were doing all their best to bring down our government.

For our Filipino soldiers, just do your job. Nothing more, nothing less. You promised to service the nation, the people and God. We must not forget it.

newsletters and their impact on others.

to err is to human.

and to criticize is to a man. nonetheless, it is a fact that all people do live in this world just to judge others. while others take the judgment for them. and at this point of time, a simple glimpse of a newsletter has appeared before my eyes. and of course, i have to read them-to criticize, to think and to create a new outview.

one thing that i love about those newsletters coming from different universities is that they are very organized. their writers, as well, are open minded. we can say that, they are not just a journalist at hand-for they always write, but they are journalist because they have the heart for it. i think it is hard for someone to write if your mind doesn't work with your hand or vice versa.

aside from that, their ideas are relevant in a sense that it affects others too. their outviews on their writings inflict people's ideas and makes them think, also.

the peak of their perception arouses the inquisitive minds of their readers and they make sure that they will make a difference.
----
from the "the GUIDON", the official student newspaper of the ateneo de manila, their article written by Quico C. Munoz- Blue Eagle truly the King?, their quick responses from the timely and much talked UAAP has given them a chance to show what they really are. they have stated the real quality of being a king or a superior not just in basketball but as well as their credibility as a student.

we, as as a student of University of Makati might as well prove not just to others but also to ourselves our real worth and our real purpose. with our own credibility not being questioned.
---
and here, as i convey to you, that writing just how those people coming from other universities express themselves might as well inspire us to create and to voice out differences for the benefit of others-especially of our country.

i might think that their newsletters and articles are exceptional.. but may i also say that we as an ordinary student may write and express extra ordinary of our own, that might as well, to be criticize... for good.

How Deep is AdEPT?

I have sat there for almost two hours, talking about pronunciation, right grammar, pre-employment things (specifically for call centers) and most especially correct accent.

The first meeting of the AdEPT class was all about the objectives of the said program, initially intended for graduating students of Education. Unfortunately, these fourth year English Majors were not available because they are too busy doing their practice teaching. So we, the second year students have to take on this responsibility that should not be ours, at all. Unluckily, we don't have a choice. If we did, we would spend the six hours of a week doing other things. For me, it would be definitely be sleeping or reading a novel.

One of the objective that was discussed with us by our AdEPT teacher was that this kind of program is for our own benefit. Aside from that, it is the answer to meet the demand of the booming call center industry. We all know that the Philippines is one of the top speaker of English language. Moreover, it's also about educating college students on pre employment and other related things on it.

AdEPT class- so far, so good.

But the real issue here is, whether or not this course is credited as an added subject. why is it called Required Elective? Does it mean that we have to attend a certain course that is not totally requiring us. An elective subject is a subject that is your choice. But here, we don't have.

How about those working students who are greatly affected by it? Some of my classmates and even I were really bothered about whether to attend this required elective.

But looking at the bright side, I know that this thing would be a great help to me to gain confidence in using the English language.

However, the people in charge must be more clear about their actions. They must give us the assurance that there will be something in return.

Or else, AdEPT should be buried deeply.

a trail of our own blood

a powerful strike of his bolo and a gun powder on his side was his defense. aside from that, his enigmatic stature and his powerful mind had brought a lot of courage to his countrymen. he has been known as the great plebian and the father of revolution. who changed and built the true identity of oppressed filipinos in his times.

and yet, he had been drastically masked by the past. who is the real andres bonifacio and what lies beneath those white camisa de chino and red trousers.

according to the books that we have always been reading he was born on november 30,1986 on tondo, manila. an oppressed child and an orphaned during his times. he earned living with a lot of hardships as an abaniko vendor. he had become a messenger and used the money to buy old books. he dropped early in his school because of poverty, yet he was not dishearten by the fact. instead, this served as an inspiration to him and to uplift his siblings.

bonifacio was a member of freemasonry and la liga wherein rizal was also a member. after the deportation of rizal in dapitan, bonifacio fled and built his own organization known as the katipunan or kkk. for this, some people have said that bonifacio, and not aguinaldo, should be considered the first president for he had initiated the prime government during spanish era.

a man of honor and wit, he had his few words but always led his people to gradual change. because of this, a few people had become so envious. and at the middle of his battle, he was killed of unreasonable accused of disloyalty to the group he had built-but was taken by someone else. the sad part was, men who kiled him was his own group-his fellowmen.

until now, his body lied under the unkown land in cavite. neither of his man nor kin had found it. still, remains as a mystery.

bonifacio, a trail of our own blood.

why cant we play volleyball?

"why cant we play volleyball at a real place? why is it that we are always stock in this four pillared room wherein it can only give a shade and not a real athletic place? and why aren't we using the oval there?"

this was the common questions that arose a while ago in our P.E. class. we were having this volleyball lesson and volleying balls, but all that we can do is to control the ball from getting to high or to avoid from making it to the windows and assume that we are in this grandeur, wide area specified for our class. somehow, we felt dishearten about our fortune at this school.

"ganito ba talaga sa Makati?"

it has been a long time since the oval located at the center of our University has been constructed. it cost a lot of hardships of every construction worker. and for sure with the same or doubled amount cost for its budget.

a real and good place for our athletes to practice their sports. a fine area wherein it could accommodate a lot of students, as well as teachers who might feel to run, to walk, or anything people could do for recreations. unfortunately, this simple things are not so possible.

there was this rule that this Oval was intended only for a highly sophisticated game and event. for that matter, we as "commoners" will be having no privilege to use this area. even faculty teachers have to secure a letter for them to enter this "gallant and highly cost" oval. which sometimes are even decline and they end up practicing their team in any available area, most commonly outside the school. how drastic is that?

and so, students here at our University are always asking, sometimes complaining, for to what it is built for?

for students use? or only for the sake of the name and prestige?

i guess, we have to use a jack-stone ball for us to learn volleyball without concerning too much at the given place...

follow me

do NOT read this entry.

i was mesmerized by the result of my exam awhile ago. it made me thought of few things that were so important in a man's life, and for his survival...

the law of following rules.

unavaible to defend myself from my sudden collapsed, i have tried to composse myself and calm down amidst the score i have gotten. though it was not that low, i didnt feel contented because i knew in myself that i can do better.

unfortunately, it was that this certain direction has been so profound to understand, atleast not totally misunderstood.

i came to realize...

how simple rules can affect ourlives. and how it will bring you up or pull you down. for a moment of silence, i have came to myself that things were set in this world to fully understand and to obey. simply, if we do not submit ourselves to the policy, its either we end up nothing or we begin to become despaired.

listening is one of the most common tool and is proven to be.

plus, with our broad understanding and our self will make us realize that things were given a set of directions that are waiting to be followed. we are here for a purpose and things are here for our OWN purpose. it's just that we should have this extra responsibilties in taking actions.

now.

simple rules have their simple thoughts. but, i still wonder why people find it hard in following it... just like the first sentence of this entry.
